Lions Clubs of MD 318 Respond Swiftly During The Wayanad Landslides<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t

In the fight against childhood cancer, some of the bravest allies are children themselves\u2014armed with paintbrushes, cupcakes, and a desire to help. NIRMAL – a novel fundraising initiative – was built on that understanding. Prayagraj Pramila Lions Club, District 321E, created a space where children could use their creativity not just for expression, but to stand beside peers facing one of life’s most difficult battles.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Instead of a traditional fundraiser, the club curated a day of hands-on workshops where children could learn something new while directly contributing to the cause. On November 22, 2025, nearly 100 young participants explored canvas and tote-bag painting, perfume making, macram\u00e9, silhouette painting, art therapy, cupcake decoration, and decoupage. Each workshop was led by experienced facilitators who volunteered their time, allowing the children to participate with ease and curiosity.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

What set NIRMAL apart was the clarity with which the children embraced their role. Every item they created\u2014bags, crafts, cupcakes\u2014became part of a collective effort to raise funds for children undergoing cancer treatment. The day offered a simple yet lasting lesson: contributions, however small, can gain strength when shared.<\/p>

A talent search in singing, dancing, and instrumental music added to the spirit of the event, with participants performing confidently and winners receiving certificates and prizes.<\/p>

The project raised \u20b91.3 lakh and after covering essential expenses, \u20b960,000 was allocated directly to support children fighting cancer.<\/p>

Under the leadership of Club President Trapti Tanwar, with strong support from Club Treasurer Jaya Manohar, NIRMAL became a thoughtful example of what’s possible when children are given meaningful ways to help\u2014and when communities create space for compassion and creativity.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
