Between December 8 and 13, Lions members across District 316D stepped forward with a shared purpose. In villages and cities, in schools and health camps, in community halls and open grounds, clubs aligned their efforts through a district-wide initiative addressing multiple Global Causes of Lions Clubs International.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Seva Yagnam began with clubs distributing essential provisions to 150 families, offering relief for households struggling to meet basic food needs.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The initiative, titled Seva Yagnam, was launched under the leadership of District Governor V. V. P. S. Anjaneyulu. In Sanskrit, yagnam signifies a sacred ritual of service and sacrifice\u2014an offering made for the greater good. In District 316D, the concept was carried forward through coordinated action, with fourteen clubs undertaking activities across hunger relief, diabetes awareness, environmental protection, vision care, childhood cancer, and youth-focused initiatives. The program was inaugurated by International Director Er. Parvathaneni Subash Babu in the presence of PID Chigurupati Varaprasad and District Governor V. V. P. S. Anjaneyulu, and coordinated by PMCC Damarla Sri Santhi. <\/h4>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Over 500 individuals were examined at a diabetes screening camp organized with the support of Regional Chairperson Dr. Ch. Manoj Kumar. Those identified with elevated sugar levels received guidance and free medicines.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

800 students underwent eye examinations conducted by trained professionals. Free cataract surgeries were also conducted.<\/p>

The week concluded but the work continued. Across the district, clubs sustained service through ongoing hunger relief, diabetes screening, and community support initiatives.
