For those who cannot afford cataract surgery, it can mean the difference between seeing the world\u2014and slowly losing sight of it.<\/p><p>Lions Netralaya was built with exactly that person in mind. Established jointly by the Lions Clubs of Jalna, District 3234-H2, the facility was inaugurated by PID Aruna Oswal on March 1, 2026. District Governor Ashwin Kumar Bajoria officially declared the centre open. Present on the occasion were District Chairperson for New Permanent Projects Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, Lions of Jalna and community leaders.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bd8e1bb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"bd8e1bb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Beyond the milestone, it was the feeling in the room that stood out. Addressing the gathering, PID Aruna Oswal said: \u201cI have travelled across India and abroad. Anyone can donate money, but in Jalna people serve society not only with their wealth but also with their body and soul. I have not seen such a spirit of service anywhere else in the world.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section elementor-element elementor-element-e4514c4 elementor-reverse-mobile elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"e4514c4\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-26ca54e\" data-id=\"26ca54e\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ee212e3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ee212e3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In his welcome address, Chairperson, Jalna Lions Hospital and Drushti Foundation Manohar Khalapure outlined the vision behind the Lions Netralaya. He added that the centre would offer eye check-ups at nominal charges, with cataract surgeries either free or heavily subsidized for those who cannot afford care. The trustees of the foundation, he assured, would remain committed to this mission well beyond the inauguration.<\/p><p>Jalna has long been a city that serves quietly.
