Editorial Note
Dear Fellow Lions,
These days, every time I open the newspaper, there seems to be another painful story—a student dying by suicide, a professional pushed to burnout, a woman enduring years of domestic violence until something finally breaks. These aren’t just headlines; they are reminders of how quietly mental distress builds and how often it goes unseen.
There couldn’t be a more urgent time for the Lions Mental Health and Well-being Week. We may not be able to rewrite every headline, but we can break the silence. We can create safer spaces to talk, to ask for help, and to be heard.
Our cover feature highlights how Lions across India opened those spaces. Most powerful for me was the story of the young girl in Ludhiana who found hope simply because someone listened. Sometimes, that’s where healing begins.
