For many young people from disadvantaged backgrounds who grow up without family support, or are unable to complete their education, the dream of building a career in the corporate world feels impossibly distant. Some end up in daily wage jobs, others remain unemployed, their potential left untapped. They are often bright, eager, and hardworking, yet doors remain closed.
Hyderabad Capital Lions Club, District 320D, asked itself a simple but profound question: how can young people from such backgrounds be given not just temporary support, but opportunities that create impact that truly lasts?
The question was answered at the club’s Installation Ceremony on June 7, 2025. In his inspiring talk, Dr. Surya Praveen, General Manager, Rotomaker VFX Pvt. Ltd., urged the Lions to look beyond short-term aid and focus on empowerment that would stand the test of time. His words struck a chord, and by the close of the evening, an extraordinary partnership had taken shape.
In a landmark announcement, Dr. Surya Praveen committed to offering ₹10 lakhs worth of professional VFX training completely free of cost, to ten deserving youth. Each student would receive industry-standard training valued at ₹1 lakh, and—more importantly—on successful completion, a placement at Rotomaker with a salary aligned to their skills.
The responsibility of identifying candidates fell to Club President Vijay Palyam, who personally reached out to NGOs, orphanages, and community leaders. After careful evaluation and personally interacting with the aspirants, ten deserving candidates were chosen—each eager to restart their lives with renewed purpose.
On July 1, 2025, District 320D began its new Lionistic year fittingly themed ‘Shubh Aarambh,’ with the initiative being formally launched at Rotomaker.
For the students stepping into their training, it was the beginning of a new life, filled with possibility.
