Along the banks of the Kadambrayar River, children’s laughter now mingles with birdsong as families discover a new community space: Lions Jungle Park. Pazhanganad Lions Club, District 317C, has transformed 15 acres of riverside land into a nature-themed park where childhood and conservation meet.
District Governor K. B. Shinekumar inaugurated the park at a celebration that brought together Lions, families, and local residents. For the Pazhanganad Lions, the moment marked the fulfilment of years of planning and community partnership. The project became reality through Lion Varghese’s generous land donation, turning a shared vision into a lasting community resource.

Helping children reconnect with nature
Where screens once commanded attention, swings now sway beneath shady trees. The park offers families what modern life often lacks: space to explore, and play together outdoors. Traditional playground equipment—slides, climbing frames, seesaws, and merry-go-rounds—sits harmoniously within the natural riverside setting, creating zones where imagination thrives.
Parents watch toddlers chase butterflies while older children build adventures around every corner. The open spaces invite games that can’t be downloaded, discoveries that can’t be googled, and friendships that grow beyond virtual connections.

A gift for generations
Lions Jungle Park, now open to the public, is not only a place for recreation. It stands as an example of how service can shape everyday life—by creating spaces where play comes alive in natural surroundings—a place to gather, to discover, and to grow together.
