GAT Report
How MD 3233 turned a global call to action into 151 new clubs — and a movement that is only gaining momentum.
MD 3233 has created a remarkable example of service, dedication, and organizational growth. This achievement did not happen overnight; it is the result of a clear vision, strong leadership, and collective teamwork.
The MISSION 1.5 call from International President A.P. Singh challenged Lions everywhere to grow with intention: to bring in more young people, engage more women, and carry the Lions mission into geographies it had not yet reached.

Three new districts of the multiple – Districts 3233E1, 3233E2, and 3233G1 answered it with discipline, energy, and results that speak for themselves.
Under the guidance of their District Governors, the teams worked in close coordination, mapping uncharted territory, identifying community leaders, engaging local youth, and reaching women who had the will to serve but had not yet found the platform.
The outcome: 151 new clubs chartered and membership targets exceeded at more than 100% across all three districts. Each club represents a community newly connected to a global network of service. Each member is a neighbour who chose to show up.
This growth was accompanied by visible acts of service. In newly reached areas, Lions installed water coolers in colleges, established libraries at airports, and organized special programs for women. Communities did not simply receive a Lions Club — they received Lions members who served alongside them from the first day.
Looking forward, MD 3233 has set its sights on the next chapter of this growth story: creating more Leo Clubs and transforming them into Lions Clubs. Active Leo members are being identified, supported, and entrusted with greater responsibilities. The initiative also focuses on drawing in young women within Lions families, including daughters and daughters-in-law, ensuring that the next generation of service leaders reflects the communities they will serve.
Beyond the numbers, this is a story that shows what is possible when the entire Lions family moves with one vision, one plan, and unity of purpose.
