Editorial Note

Dear Fellow Lions,

Some weeks leave a mark that outlasts the calendar. Global Service Week 2026 in Visakhapatnam was one of them.

For eight days, MD 316 brought together Lions from eight countries to demonstrate what becomes possible when people who share a purpose choose to act on it together — across distances, across cultures and across communities.

Events of this scale are never easy to organize. They require months of planning, the cooperation of institutions, and the willingness of individuals to give their energy and time without reservation. My heartfelt appreciation to all those who made this week possible.

What strikes us most about the Global Service Week is not the scale but the texture — the morning screenings in a public park, the school wall that now carries something new, the quiet commitment of volunteers who showed up and did what was needed.

That is Lionism at work.
